Agribusiness Outside Counsel
Agribusiness Outside Counsel gives your ag business a lawyer on call for contracts, forms, and owner questions, for one flat monthly fee. It works alongside your CPA, not instead of them.
Who it is for
Ag retailers, seed dealers, aerial applicators, custom operators, and other ag businesses in Nebraska and Minnesota. We also help other small businesses when the work fits.
What it helps with
- Customer contracts and terms
- Employee and contractor agreements
- Workplace policies and forms
- Vendor and equipment deals
- Owner, buy-sell, and operating agreements
- Questions before you sign
How it works
- Flat monthly fee. You know the cost each month. We set it after a call about your needs.
- Month to month. No long contract.
- A set amount of help. Each level includes a defined amount of work. You can move up or down.
- Big projects quoted separately. A land purchase, a merger, or a full estate plan gets its own flat-fee quote.
- Summer timing. Service is lighter in July and August. You can choose to pause during those months.
What it does not cover
We do not handle lawsuits or contested court cases. If a matter turns into a lawsuit, we help you find trial counsel. See what we don’t do.
Common questions
Our CPA handles our business. Why a lawyer? Your CPA handles tax and books. We handle the legal side and keep your CPA in the loop.
Can I cancel? Yes. It is month to month. Work already started must be finished or handed off the right way.
Book a 30-minute call to see which level fits. Not sure you need ongoing help? Ask about a one-time Annual Legal Checkup.
